it's been about a week and still no issue as we speak. (hopefully)

    i've got the 0x887A0006 - "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" after updating my driver to 516.94

i literally done it all reinstalling windows 10, reset bios, roll back driver, cap fps to 60 (it fix but it crash again when i use heat shield lol)

i even lowering down my monitor refresh rate to 60hz but still have the error.

other games have it to not just apex (battlefield v/spider-man) it's stressful.

i think the problem is not the game but the stock factory core clock of my gpu (i'm using rtx 2070)

  • So correct me if im wrong but doesnt both battlefield and spider man use "easy anti cheat" aswell?

I'm also having this problem. Either gives me DXGI_DEVICE_HUNG or REMOVED or says BAD_MEMORY or BAD_MODULE, but most of the time it's straight to desktop no error. Messed with everything from game settings to CPU/GPU clock settings. I reseated my RAM, GPU, and even reinstalled my CPU and cooler with exchanged thermal paste. I can assure you it is not a problem with my system. Reinstalled drivers over and over, everything from GPU to Intel drivers, even updated BIOS.

Respectfully, a game released in 2019 should be able to run on modern hardware unless the game is running extremely inefficiently and not utilizing the efficiencies of newer technology. Perhaps it is time to start paying Google for more memory or more modern servers at the data centers.

The only thing that I have found that works at all (only reduces frequency of crashing) is enabling "debug mode" in the Nvidia Control Panel under "Help." Now, when a game only works with this enabled, generally they tell that person to RMA the GPU as it is not performing as it should past its reference settings. I think it is very unlikely that all these people who have this problem have a bad card, and I don't think you can say that the card is bad when the only game out of hundreds that crashes is Apex Legends. This leads me to believe that either the engine or its constituents are bad and are not properly working with the users' components at home.

I know this is a big claim and could be totally bogus. Please know that I have the utmost respect for the developers of this game as well as the players. I just want to play the game without issue.
