Re: Extreme stuttering from mouse movement

Replying to bring light to this issue.
I also have this problem, the exact same issue as you except at 1000hz polling rate. I get mouse stutters along with the game freezing and frame rate will drop significantly just like what you showcased in the video except mine happens at 1000hz polling rate. The band-aid fix I have for myself at the moment is to lower it to 500hz (which feels awful). Ever since the hyperion anti cheat update(7/28/2022) my game will stutter randomly and freeze up for a split second frequently throughout a single match. "Periodic stuttering with no user input" the same exact thing you also said. I think we are experiencing the same exact issue expect yours happens at 8000hz and 4000hz.

We both have different computer specs and windowOS versions. My mouse model is a wireless g303 as well.

I have the exact same issue. My game worked fine until the update on July 27, 2022. I've been using a 1000HZ polling rate since the game came out and never had any issues, decreasing the polling rate to 125HZ somewhat makes it bearable until you get into a gunfight, then it starts to stutter heavily again. This happens on both Origin and Steam since July 27.

Yea I've been having this issue as well ever since the previous patch (the one before the season 14 patch). I have a strong suspicion that whatever they did to the anti cheat isn't meshing well with Windows 7. Who else is having this problem and is also running Windows 7?

  • I also have been having this same exact issue, and have not been able to play since about July 27 or July 28, since that update.  I have Windows 7 and a Logitech G502 mouse.  It could be Windows 7 that is a common denominator for this issue.  I also wonder if a common denominator is having a Logitech mouse.

The patch released on September 29 fixed this issue for me, I can now again use 1000hz as polling rate. But unfortunately now my game suffers from the stuttering issue mentioned in this thread:
