This happens with a few other legends too, unless the tactical is on cooldown already, it seems to try and prioritize the tactical over using the ultimate accelerant with the quick prompt (L1 & R1). I've been experiencing this on Pathfinder for multiple seasons now and it still hasn't been fixed
@FreudianFondue Wow! That's so annoying! I never experienced this in the past when I used to play other legends (Lifeline, Caustic, Bangalore) because I guess it's not a problem with a few specific ones, but I feel as if it wasn't always an issue, unless I'm wrong. I've been maining Octane for quite a while now, and I don't think I ran across this problem many, many seasons ago when I first picked him up, but maybe that's my mind playing tricks on me and that's how it's always been. Regardless, I hope it gets fixed! I love when I find accelerants, but sometimes I don't even bother picking them up and using them because it's just going to irritate me knowing that it's most likely going to result in using my tactical as well. I bet if this was an issue on all the Legends, as opposed to just a few specific ones, then they'd make it higher on the priority list, if it's even on the list at all. Knowing EA and Respawn though, maybe not, so who knows

Hoping this actually gets to see the light of day, I'm starting to give up on there being a fix released for this... ever.
Yuuup, the game is still popping my tactical and accelerants at the same time. Happened to me last night. I think we're screwed 😔
It annoys me that there aren't more people interacting with this post. This is such an annoying thing! I've just speed read the new season 22 Patch notes and it's not listed as a fix, I'm not praying that it's something that has been fixed but hasn't been mentioned. Though given the fact that this has existed for longer than half the games lifespan I doubt it.
