The team announced that there would be one, but nothing has manifested
I thought those plans were scrapped?

No news yet. It's also not scrapped though.
- @TTZ_Dipsy I mean while that is true the Discord wouldn't just be for NHL 24. It would be for the series in general. And with how the community might be and others have been they have to be careful not to create a mess they regret. They should also temper expectations for the Discord too. People might feel they will get direct interaction with the devs themselves which I don't think will be a thing.
Yup I understand the plan is to create a general umbrella for the series but I'm pretty sure this was supposed to to be part of their 24 plan (please correct me if I'm wrong).
They keep saying how they learned from past mistakes and the reason they don't/can't talk about stuff they're working on is so they don't give false hope and some unforseen forced puts it to a grinding halt - well, it's happened yet again.
Ideas are already split thin between facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and here and now we are adding discord to the mix. I doubt there will be much direct interaction with the devs on Discord; I hope that's the case but even I don't get that here.
- @TTZ_Dipsy Yeah it was announced before the game even launched. Obviously they had high ambitions on that front before probably running into red tape.
