could it been a win7/8 where you actual can turn on/off animation on network connection.

but i can tell you this its over 10-20 years ago i have seen a network driver that actual prevent people even get online,

but i have seen many drivers get more optimized and minor bugs fixed

and i think its was then we have 10mbit nic card, but never mind about the past.

dont forget windows in itself is software and maybe that is the problem here. drivers is standard that cant be argued about its only a problem if devs did not make them right in the first place.

as i tried to explan game companys has no choise in somekind of check for game patch single or multi player

seen to many multi player server got hacked then people runs those game server themself.

so there is only single player left , users choise to either update the game or not and live with bugs if he dont.

 but i do know many will not play any game without have get newest patch ( most games is so huge that bugs cant be avoided. )

and other things many forget Microsoft dont make driver they only stamp them as verifyed for not crash system,and they got them from our product Manufactors and is release as part of windows offer as default drivers, but they did not make them. ( many knows this, but its not coomon knowledge and many flame on MS for things they do not make.

and we have all seen this before reinstall os and then funny enough all previous bugs cant be reproduces, so something has change.

most blame it on users data that has change something in our system.

my laptop jumps around to whatever hob it can find, same as tablet do, if your laptop cant do that, its a configuration issue. ( the minute i move out of zone, all popup about no connections found is showed )
