Since the update went live today, I have had a sound problem that relates to the new sound fix that was mentioned in the patch notes. I have tried everything, switching headphones, turning enabling and disabling sound options, reinstalling thew game, fixing it in the game Origin menu, installing it on Steam.

Then I found out that your new "footsteps" patch has been amplified or rather the echoing of the surrounding areas, think it has to do something with the world audio. Then I turned of 7.1 audio, and everything sounded flat, regular as before. I have been playing on 7.1 audio for almost half-a-year now and this has never occurred since the 7.0 update.

If you could look into the reletion between what was done and the 7.1, that would be grand. For the time being I'll be playing in Stereo Audio.

Thank you

    They will never tix this.

Also they have removed completely from the UI indicator of "stereo", "5.1" or "7.1"... for some unknown reason. So now You just don't know if the game properly recognize Your audio settings.

oh my god guys, seems fixed.

Today i update apex, and the 2_miles channel command prevent the game from booting, tokk it away, and there it is, the game switched in 7.1, and the indicator on the soud settings is back.

I can hear stuff around me!

now, just to improve the situation, i tried two different settings: making clear that without 2_miles channel command the games go automaticly in 7.1, there are two choices,

keep in settings.cfg file 2 channels or switch 8 channels; the results seems to differ, i can't tell what is better.

  • nope, it still present in audio settings.

so, adding this command to EA App > right click on Apex > Manage > View properties > +miles_channels 2 , solve the problem. now it shows STEREO in a game.

p.s. wondering why devs can't add it properly - via in-game menu selector, so we don't have to dance with a tambourines 🤔
