I always write "Hi" and press Enter
it does not send the Message đ

I am having the same problem. Cannot find a solution anywhere. This started happened after the Fight Night update.
I am playing on Steam if that makes a difference.
When I am in the lobby, I cannot send messages. I can't even type in the chatbox. When I am in game I can press ENTER to type, but when I type out anything and submit it. I don't see it in the chat log.
I just logged on with some buddies to play and all of their microphones symbols next to their names (along with my symbol as well) show a muted microphone symbol. I cannot hear my friends nor can I type in chat. I had to text them outside of the game.
Discord works fine for me as well as other games. Strangely enough when I play with random people I can hear them speak.
I don't know if I am missing a setting or this is a bug. I thought there was something to disable chat maybe I am missing that setting?
Edit: I am currently reinstalling to see if it works.
Edit2: Reinstalling did not work. Seems to be a Steam issue according to @Nykoload and others.
I tested some stuff:
Game files checked (no fix)
Name changed from "1Zaitsev1" to "Zaitsev" and then to "Christian" (no fix)
was thinking about that filtering all the Messages ...
am also playing on Steam since 1 Month
might still be some easy anticheat name issue or anything
since... I have seen people write "hi" to me and I asked:
"can you read my stuff?" in 3 different matches
and no1 replied âšī¸
Same! It happened super recently too. Right after the update. Let me know if anyone finds a solution.

Tried reinstalling on Steam, did not fix, works seemingly fine on Origin.
it does send but you can not see the msgs from your self

@EA_Kent Thanks for passing the issue on to the Devs and getting it fixed, it is appreciated. I downloaded the patch today and it seems to have fixed the issue however I have not tested extensively. I did notice another strange issue which I will raise a separate thread for but, when using a full pre-made lobby, joining a ranked game, we all received a message from someone not in our lobby while in character selection waiting for the map to load. This is the first time I have seen this.
