Hey all,
So I just hooked up a Focusrite 2i2 2nd gen and a Mic. SLOBS sees and hears the mic, windows hears the mic, I have set the default mic for apex in the sounds app as the focusrite... but Apex wont get any input from it. Please help!
- 5 years ago@hon68 sorry to bother you but have you checked windows privacy settings for microphone? there are several settings that need to be set correctly in order for a 3d party app like apex to acces your microphone.. I'm just taking a wild guess if this could be your issue atm

No bother at all! If I scroll down on the Microphone Privacy settings, it says that Apex is using my microphone.
- 5 years ago@hon68 are you sure you set a keybinding to it? if you use push to talk hold an assigned button..
for this i tested my samson usb mic on apex, some things to check:
-mic needs to be default mic in windows audio configuration
-set the mic level to a decent audio input volume
-disable option "allow exclusive acced to audio device"
-optional set audio sample rate to 44khz/16bit
-in windows mic privacy make sure "allow access" is enabled, go down and also enable "allow desktop apps to have access"
-make sure steam/origin have acces to your mic in the options
if you are using steam you can access the mic options by using the "friends" window and hitting the gear icon in the top right. From there go to speech in this option set:
-your mic as default input device
-optional leave the setting as "open mic"
-try setting "threshold" to off for the time being
i dont have origin installed to try it out..
in apex you can also try to set it to open mic if you want, in either case make sure the mic is loud enough for apex to pick it up
