Hi everyone,
After the latest update, this suddenly popped up to me when I join the game. I didn't care and proceeded to play the game. Two games later it popped up again. Tried changing the server, did work sometimes but mostly did not. Tried closing the game and restarting BOTH EA app and Apex completely, still didn't work. Tried restarting the computer, and of course it didn't work either.
It's like luck based rn that sometimes when I restart the game, it works completely fine. But just for one to two games. Then the game stuck at the lobby, crafting materials, in-game currency and such became -9999, and it will kick me out showing the screen that I attached below.
I have already tried basically everything aside from reinstalling windows. I reinstalled the game, reinstalled EAC & the so-called "patching Apex Legends" option, installed the Microsoft Visual Studio thing, etc., and none of those work. And I am definitely not the only one who encountered this issue. Many suffered from the issue and almost every post I saw relating to this issue in AnswerHQ ends up in no admin or such answering to solve the issue. I understand that no employee is going to be like "I know what's happening" and proceeds to solve the issue for everyone. But if so many are facing the same problem, I don't see why the issue isn't being addressed and fixed in one to two patches. The issue lasted for almost 3-4 years (seeing people post about this problem in 2019).
Anyway, it's just pure complain. If you got any idea on fixing the issue, please feel free to let me know. This update fixed the mmr issue for me and I thought I was finally able to play some proper games, until I found out that a bigger issue was introduced.
This has to be the most annoying thing I've ever encountered with this game, even more annoying than all the in game annoyances this game offers.
I have done everything to try and fix this. I've uninstalled Apex and reinstalled on EA. Uninstalled and Reinstalled on Steam. Uninstalled Steam and EA, then Reinstalled. Now having to install the games all over. Repaired the game a million and a half times in EAC. Everything has been manually set to start in Admin, I've downloaded and repaired Microsoft Visuals and I even made sure my IP is set to DHCP, like one user was able to find was their issue. I can play every other game except for Apex. I've been getting close to retiring this game so maybe it's time, but I don't want to go out like this. Hoping the new season just fixes this completely.... rip Season 18
