Anti cheat is not running error on steam deck

I get the error that says anti cheat is not running or has failed authentication within 30 seconds of entering the lobby. This started right after i updated to season 19 and has been like this ever since.

I'm playing on steam deck no apps running in the background and have tried changing connections 3 times, restarting both the device and steam didn't seem to work, verified local files. Nothing seems to work. I had no problem like this before

    @Black395Ghost According to reports on protondb, it looks like easyanticheat_x64.so was removed as part of the anticheat update. Think we'll just have to wait until they add it back.

    I don't understand how it's taking so long to fix this, the problem has already been identified days ago.

    agree. this was also an issue the previous season for me. it doesn't seem like they test these things for steam deck. 100% unplayable, unfortunately.
