Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Boot Apex on a Dell G5 5000 desktop computer Observe all fans increase power to 100%
Upon booting Apex for the first time on my PC, I noticed the fans were as loud as they could be. I did some Googling and limited the frame rate of the game to 100 fps, which fixed my issue until I booted the PC again and tried to run Apex. From there I had to boot Apex, close it, and then restart my PC in order to play the game with appropriate fan noise. At a certain point I booted it, observed the fan noise issue, and went straight to restarting my system. This caused the fan issue to become permanent to my PC, so that the whole time from when it is started to when it is shut down or put to sleep, the fans will run at 100% power.
I reached out to Dell customer service and they tried all of the software fixes they could try on their end. Then they sent out a tech to replace the fans. That tech sent out another tech who replaced the motherboard. Finally, after replacing the motherboard, the problem was fixed. Until I tried to switch to another application while Apex was running, which caused the issue to return and my computer's fans have been running at full speed since about 04/02/21 23:00ish as long as the computer is on.
I couldn't find it in the DxDiag, but if it helps, my processor is an Intel Core i7-10700F. I haven't come across anyone else having this same issue anywhere else on the internet (maybe my googling skills aren't the best though), but I've honestly tried everything I can think of and was just hoping for some sort of answer, even if it isn't a solution.
I will keep playing this game on my Xbox though. It's just unfortunate that it made my PC very annoying to use, even outside of the game.
