Apex crashing to desktop daily due to Easy Anti Cheat since S22

Product: Apex Legends
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number RTX 3080
Enter RAM memory size in GB 32GB DDR5
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? Nickoglas
Please provide your squad mates' gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name if possible. N/A
Are you using any software with an overlay? No
Which Legend were you playing (if applicable)? Pathfinder/Ash (but this isn't relevant to the issue as far as I can tell)
Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)? N/A
Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. It has happened in various parts, all over each map this season.
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. fighting/rotating in map. Again this is not relevant to the issue as far as I can tell.
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? Sometimes I can play all day with no issues, other times it happens the first few games I play.
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 13/09/2024 21:00 ish was the last time it happened.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? When the bug occurs I have a stutter which is around 5+ seconds and then the game crashes to desktop with no warning. It gives an error code in event viewer and when I looked it up I see multiple posts about it being an issue with EAC. Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe52" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035 Some posts are even from when Apex launched! I have put more detail below.
What should be happening instead? The game shouldn't be crashing
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Honestly unsure on this as it's an intermittent issue, as mentioned some days I don't have the issue, other days I play for a few hours with no issue then I take a break and the first game back on crashes immediately. The issue does seem to be getting worse though.

I have been lucky in that Apex has always ran well for me personally. But this season the game has crashed more in the last few weeks than it has in the 1000 hours I've played the game. Normally I can tell I am about to crash as the frametime spikes and I get a huge 5+ second stutter and than it just crashes to desktop with no error message.

When I check event viewer it gives an error (Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe52" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035) which is related to EAC. I can sometimes mitigate the issue by disabling Core Isolation in windows, as well as Kernel-Mode hardware-enforced protection stack.

However each time I want to play I need to disable this and restart my pc before playing, not a huge issue I guess but still would prefer not to have to disable it at all.

One thing I noticed is that when I turn core isolation back on (after a play session for example) I cannot re-enable Kernel mode protection and it shows the following incompatible driver:

easyanticheat_EOS.exe

Also last night I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Apex as it was telling me that EAC wasn't even installed, and I couldn't install it from the usual EAC.exe file. I couldn't uninstall or repair it, all options were greyed out. I managed to get the EOS file to run by forcing it using a batch file I made, and I was actually able to play last night without a crash after I did this, but again I can't enable kernel protection still today.

I assume this is an issue with EAC and I have seen a Reddit post from 4 months ago with comments as recently as this month with a few people also expressing the same issue.

Honestly it's quite annoying because I haven't been grinding ranked at all this season as I have no idea if my game is actually going to just randomly crash.

If you would like any further detail let me know, I was also going to contact EAC to ask them but I saw no way to get in touch with them for this type of enquiry.

I have attached my DXDiag file, and also two screenshots, one of event viewer (the logs go as far back as 21/08) and the other screenshot shows that Windows reports the EAC EOS driver is incompatible and won't allow me to re-enable Kernel Stack protection mode (even though I had it enabled previously).

Many thanks,

Nick
