Apex friends list not displaying online status correctly on PS4

What happens when the bug occurs? When opening the friends list in Apex by clicking the right stick, the friends list display is not accurate, meaning it does not match what the actual PS4 friends list shows. It shows offline friends online playing apex, it show online friends as offline, etc. I cannot invite friends that I know are online via the PS4 friends list. I left it open for several minutes once and it eventually showed correctly, but I don't know how many minutes it took. I don't know if this always work. I have gotten it to update by closing/restarting Apex.
What should be happening instead? Friends list should display correctly
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know. I always put my PS4 in rest mode with Apex open, and it seems like it might be remembering the state of my friends list at that time?
