    Both will have the same core EA account, and due to this, they won't work for cross-play, our system will see them as they same account, despite one being linked to a Microsoft account.

I have a similar problem but with my brother's account. He is on Xbox One and has an EA account created when launching the game for the first time. Whenever I search his name in order to add him, it doesn't show up. He also tried adding me but I didn't get the request.
