From what i've done with testing and fiddling around with various fixes, the only real improvement I had was when I increased my RAM. All I could say to do would be to lower graphics settings, make sure your texture streaming budget in the settings window is at least 8gb. This is what worked for me. It's a RAM related issue, it massively spikes randomly and that crashes the game.
I'm having the exact same issue. It shouldn't be a ram problem because the recommended specs for running the game is 8 gigs of RAM and I have 16 as well. My graphics are all on the lowest possible, borderless windowed mode, and all anti-aliasing is off and whatnot. There should be no reason that this issue is happening but like the above post mentioned it's about 10%-50% of my games that crash. Especially if the games run long. I've tried working with EA Help (through twitter DMs) and they really don't have any fix for it at the moment that I know of but I hope this gets resolved because I love this game but just physically can't play it.
