Hello everyone,
So i have been in contact with EA about this rubber-banding and lag issue. It turns out i have a part resolve for this issue on Xbox one.
After discussions with advisers it became apparent that the issue that we are all describing is a issue due to data packet loss with huge server traffic.
They have offered me a fix that will improve overall connectivity to Apex legends and ea server's. I was asked to preform a UOtrace report, so that ea could analyse the network before 6:30pm and after 6:30pm for this i needed to generate two reports for each time period so that they had something to compare against and attach them to my case.
Here's the link with the instructions on how to generate a UOtrace report and information on how to add it to your case - https://help.ea.com/en-in/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/
After my case was reviewed and after Ea looked into my reports they found the cause of my disconnection, if you check the report by yourself and you are able to see a lot of unknown host entries under the first column of "Host name".
This is where the issues lies. Due to this Unknown host entries the server is unreachable at times, every game has its own requirement and they work on different ports.
if this is the case then you port forwarding for Apex Legends are not configured correctly. Due to this Unknown host issue you're experiencing the issue as the network of yours is unable to send proper and is blocking sometimes the information which is to be sent to EA servers.
However, this is resolvable. I was provide with the details of the correct port number which needs to be open to avoid such issues in future matches.
UDP: 3659, 21000-26000
TCP: 443, 8080
This can be done in your router settings or if you are struggling, just simply get in touch with your "Internet service provider" and ask them to open the above ports of your connection.
I was able to play two games without lag after making these changes, but the third hit me with lag again. I was told there was no issue in my report and it may have just been a bad server and that an update next week will hopefully fix many connectivity problems.
I will update tomorrow pm into if this is a fix or if it is still an issue but all make sure that your apex port forwarding rules are set up.
