I just completed the 10 Match Placement rounds last night for Season 12, won 8 out of 10 matches, and STILL got put into Bronze IV. How does this even make sense? I'm assuming the scoring will also still be broken when I try to play actual rounds later tonight, where no matter how many kills I get or damage I do, that I'll gain an average of 12 points per win, while losing 18-30 points per loss, even when having multiple kills in that losing game. I really like Arenas, which is almost 100% where I spent the second half of Season 11, and still barely got Silver IV due to the broken scoring system.

Arena Ranked play has been broken from the start.
1. MM is a joke and ambiguous.
2. Arena point system is totally unclear, ambiguous and just bad.
3. Placement matches and where you are placed is also unclear and seems so random.
IMHO Arena's was/is a great idea but the implementation of it was not well done. Ranked Arena's really just needs to go away, Pubs could stay as it is really just a great place to warm up CQC skills because well the firing range is just so lackluster.
Control is so much better and should take Arena's place as a permanent mode.

Even after 3 months, won 7/10 matches, still got placed Bronze 4 for the THIRD split in a row.
From what I've heard, losing all the matches doesn't fix this. I thought this would still happen only for master/pred players,
but in my case, I didn't even play arenas last season (I basically got the animated bronze badge).
Just delete the entire mode at this point.

Played mostly Ranked Arenas last night, and I can definitely say there are a LOT of high-level players showing up in my supposed Bronze IV matches... though I managed to rank up to Bronze III in one night, the scoring still seems to be pretty whacked. I guess since they didn't even mention Arenas in their release notes, I shouldn't have expected them to have fixed anything. Maybe they aren't planning on keeping it? I mainly play the ranked version, because people don't tend to quit out of that as much as pubs since they get a timeout penalty for doing so... still though, with all the AFK or Disconnected players, it makes for a challenge to win against a fully active three-player opponent. HA!

- @fartnitepalyer Yeah... I've finally managed to grind to Bronze I, about half-way to Silver IV, but I'm pretty much stuck here if I don't win at a 3 or 4 to one ratio, then I pretty much just stay at where I am.

@LynnM_1963 if you had a higher placement previously, you should get +108 every game at least
anyway holy the neglect.
people still place bronze 4 despite having pred elo and you can still lose fat 30s not only to cheaters, but also to literal predators aka people with pred MMR, just cuz they are currently placed lower or wrongly placed bronze. its just silly
