Bumping this to provide a clip. I just commented on another post reporting this issue, but this one has more upvotes, so I am putting it here too in hopes of getting it seen.
The inconsistency on this ability’s function in season 4 has been immensely frustrating.
Just had the scan fail 3 times on Kings Canyon. We were at edge of first ring and three enemies were hiding in the ring. The scan failed to detect them 3 times in a row even as my teammate was firing at one of them. I have never noticed it before now and would have been shot in the back after the first scan had not my teammates kept looking in that direction.
