@AymCTL Just to be clear, I was being sarcastic and "must be skill issue" was directed towards myself. I think we're on the same page, but just in case.
@DeepBeats In other games with Crossplay, the hit reg can be off, but in Apex there's no consistency. It's always "good" players that can beam me, but I can't get a single shot to register 15 feet away. I've also been dying to people before the shots get registered. I die instantly without getting any damage feedback.
The dual Mozams is yet another example of bad game design amplifying poor hit reg, desync, low tick rate server, and the cheating problem. You can't lower the TTK without fixing the other stuff. This is very, VERY, basic game design stuff for shooters.

One can look to the netcode as to why hits don’t register until you shoot forward squarely on a target that neither moved 1s before you pulled the trigger nor 1s after. If they were motionless the server could not possibly adjudicate a different location.
i have seen that on apex and I cannot explain it. The “cheaters” would have had to hack the server to get the server to adjudicate a miss like that.
so what’s wrong with the server?
