Cannot finish a challenge

What happens when the bug occurs? The "Play 1 match with each Apex OG Legend in any mode" challenge under the "Mission #2" section of the "Launch Royale Recon" challenges does not update when it should, making it impossible to progress the challenge beyond 0/8. I have tested with Bangalore and Pathfinder (both OG Legends) in both Trios and Launch Royale (both fall under "any mode").
What should be happening instead? When playing one of the eight OG Legends for the first time in any mode, challenge progress should increase by one.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a match of any mode while playing as one of the eight OG Legends, then observe the relevant challenge upon returning to the lobby.

As above - I know there was discussion about the Mission #1 version of this challenge maybe not tracking in every mode, but the Mission #2 version doesn't seem to track in any mode.
