Hi kent,
Ive tried both honestly.
Either solo queuing, me hosting with a friend or my friend hosting.
Ive made open posts on xbox for apex and found a few people with the same issue.

Same on PS4. Sit there with a max of 20 people in queue for 30 mins and still can't get a game

Would it be possible to try testing this with another account on the same Xbox to see if you run into the same issue during matchmaking?

Hi there. Also in Sydney and can never get a duos game for probably the last 2 seasons. Always 2 to 4 people in the queue. Ranked is also about as bad but seems much moreso the duos.
Im on ps4, solo and with duo partner. If i switch to a different server like japan and NY then its always full and instant start.

Just chiming in to say the same thing. My gf and I are both on Xbox One and we can never find a game of duos on the Sydney servers.
In the duos lobby the matchmaking rarely gets above 4 people. We usually have to hop on the Oregon servers with 188ms lag to get a duos game. This has happened all through season 5 and 6.
If we switch to trios on Sydney servers we get a game instantly. We have no problems with any other multiplayer games on the xbox. It sucks because we don't always want to play with a random third but our friends aren't always available when we hop on.
Woohoo! With the launch of the crossplay Beta we are finally getting duos games on the Sydney servers here at my place in Victoria!!!

Finally! Won our firsy duo games aha.
On the bright side i can find games now.
Downside? Everytime i use the grapple all i can see is pathfinders arm on my screen ☹️

Our only issue so far has been two disconnects due to the logic error that has been around forever.
Its great to have duos with no lag though 😁

Back to not being able go find games ☹️ Ah damn, I thought that was just us. We are back on the Oregon servers with 189ms and 2 packet loss ☹️
What changed, why can't we play duos on Sydney anymore? We got one day and now nothing 😭

Can i really believe between all 3 platforms we cant find 60 damn players for apex in Australia?
I made another post on here post aftermarket update. Yeah it's bizarre...I genuinely don't know if it's just a small minority of us that can't find duos or if nobody on Sydney servers wants to play duos.
It's frustrating as hell.

I’m new to Apex, however I find it slightly disheartening that this has been an issue with Australian servers and nothing seems to have been done about it since 2020 😅
As far as I can tell there are a lot of players wanting to cue as duos(it’s easier to find one friend), it’s an untapped market that could also see content creators endorse the Apex experience 😏
