Controller Bug with RT

Please provide your squad mates' gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name if possible. N/A
Are you using any software with an overlay? No
Which Legend were you playing (if applicable)? N/A
Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)? N/A
Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Olympus/Firing Range
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Holding the Right Trigger Down
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? No

What happens when the bug occurs? When holding down right trigger your character moves forward which interferes with your movement during fights wether you are using a gun or trying to melee someone after hot dropping
What should be happening instead? Able to hold RT to shoot a gun like normal without automatically walking forward
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into the firing range with your p2020 and hold RT and you will keep walking forward instead of standing still

It happens almost 100% of the time but sometimes it dosnt but after reloading and trying again it does it again its very frustrating

  • Hey @FaIIenAngeI777

It sounds like the game is getting multiple inputs simultaneously when you're hitting the RT button. Do you have any other USB devices connected to your PC aside from your mouse, keyboard, and controller? If so, can you try disconnecting the other devices to see if that makes any difference at all? Sometimes I've seen similar cases where having other input devices can cause issues like this.

Let me know how that goes when you have the chance. Thanks!

    Hey @TrueKatorea

Let's take a look and see if we can figure out what might be causing the issues you've been seeing.

First, have you had the chance to try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that helps? If there's anything else running that could be interfering with the controller inputs, that could help to get around it.

For more information on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help website. Once you've had the chance to give it a shot please let me know how it goes. Thanks!

  • @EA_Kent I don't know what exactly fixed it but I bought a newer edition of my controller for series x and the issue is resolved for now.
