Damage not counting towards challenge

What happens when the bug occurs? I have a weekly damage that says “Deal 7500 damage”. It’s currently at 0/7500 despite my other damage challenges having progress.
What should be happening instead? The progress bar should be at least somewhat filled, I have a challenge to do damage with assault rifles that’s at 5725/7500, so I don’t know why it’s not working for this one.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure :-(

The challenge isn’t specific to the battle royale or arenas, so I’m not sure what the problem is. I doubt it’s supposed to be damage for a single game. The challenge is 5 stars so it is a little frustrating that I can’t complete it.
