Lets not forget executing someone will have you phase right through the ship mid-air. You are fixed in place relative to the ground and not to the ship itself. In your case I would suggest either letting the box settle a bit first, or keep a fair distance from it.
Yup I reported this bug on the forum, just hope the devs see it.
