This error is not occurring in over 5 other games I have installed which use the EAC client. I am confident in the assessment that the EAC client is not at fault here.

AV was also totally disabled when trying that as a possible conflict. It is not the issue either.

This specific error is caused by a misconfigured SSL certificate. Either the certificate issued to Apex is currently wrong, or Apex isn't recognizing EAC's certificate for Apex.

It is likely a network-related error of some sort and may be related to the Saviors update in some way. A few others both here and on the subReddit are having the same or similar certificate issues and cannot resolve them at this point.

@Q_Spice Are you able to share which certificates you deleted to force a re-install of a fresh certificate? I can't find anything in my cert manager regarding EA, Apex, EAC, or the like. I found a forum that said to update the GlobalSign certificates but that was unsuccessful as well.

    @Houtzyboy It should be under your Steam Directory file pathway

    (Drive):\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\EasyAntiCheat\Certificates

    In there should be a game.bin and game.cer

    I just deleted the .cer file and validated the game through Steam. The game recognizes it is missing and reinstalls it upon verification.

    This is the SSL certificate file that EAC uses to link their service to Apex (or any game).

    Easy is currently seeing it as working and linked, whereas Apex sees the link as broken.
