A few things to try:
- Power cycle PC and Router
- Run System File Checker to ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
- Perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 or http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
- Disable any VPN or similar
Thanks.
I Regarding "Disabling VPN"
Why? NordVPN does work with apex legends, but this exact problem occurs when you have "split tunneling" feature on even if you don't have Apex Legends on that list.
I have scavanged the net to search for a solution but found none.
Is someone willing to deepdive into this phenomena?
- 3 years ago@FilurenBenya I was having the same problem, but I seem to get it working with Nord VPN split tunneling by setting Apex into Windowed mode or Borderless windowed mode, but it won't work with fullscreen and will crash everytime I attempt to make it fullscreen.
I open Apex first, and turn on split tunneling with Apex in the background, Apex automatically change into windowed mode for me. Hope this helps.- 10 months ago
No that doesn't work, just tried. I started apex legends without vpn on / split tunneling off entirely, then went inside and jumped on a server, changed resolution to windowed borderless -> Connected to the vpn with split tunneling on -> connection lost on apex and the server. Tried to start after that also but it didn't work.
Split tunneling with Apex haven't worked since 4 years and still no fix has been issued.
EDIT/FIX:
Got it to work with split tunneling however it will have to USE Apex legends and EAC. So you have to USE vpn with split tunneling on with these specified apps.
These are my the ones that i added:
I have borderless windowed also.
Not sure which part actually made it work, but I wont touch anything as long as it works.
