Boy's I've got a fix for myself. I hope it works for you.
GO TO:
c:\users\[YOUR USER ID]\savedg~1\respawn\apex\local\
FIND THE FILE "settings.cfg"
Change settings.cfg's name to example.cfg.old
this forces the game to recreate the correct file.
Attempt a restart. You may get another error message referencing your profileIf you recieve this profile error, do the same thing in the profile folder:
GO TO:
C:\Users\[YOUR USER ID]\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\profile
rename the text document titled "profile" to profile.oldAttempt to run again. This worked for me, and I hope it works for you too. (IF I FORMATTED THIS BAD FOR EA FORUMS JUST READ THE PROVIDED NOTEPAD)
