Leave it at 1000 Hz. No reason to go beyond that.

That's like telling people there no reason to to go beyond an Intel Core i3, with 2GB of ram, GT 640. Or we should all just use 30Hz, 30ms persistence,100Ms delay monitors. Or just use a 100 gram, 400 DPI, 100 Hz mouse, with 40% drift.
Going forward, I wouldn't be surprising if all new corsair, razer, Logitech mic and keyboards are 8,000 Hz. Maybe not for budget products, but defiantly for performance products.

I have an 5800x and i can go up to 4000hz. 8000hz has mini stutters. You have an 5600x so maybe thatswhy u cant go higher than 2khz.
i think 4khz is a sweet spot. 0.25ms input lag only. 8khz has 0.125 , so the difference is negligible. you wont feel it.- 3 years ago@Legendistan I have a 5900x and it can't even handle 4000hz on apex and if i try 8khz it goes to 2 fps
