Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)?
Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Happens on Olympus

What happens when the bug occurs? All game sounds become increasingly amplified per each round being fired to the point that everything sounds like static. Only time it resets back to normal is when you reload the gun.
What should be happening instead? Normal audio during all situations
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Fire the G7 rapidly.

So for the last 2 weeks I've been experiencing problems with the G7 Scout. If i spam fire the G7, my audio gets increasingly loud to the point i nearly have to throw my headphones off my head. At first I thought it had to do with the Battlepass legendary skins leveling up per kill. But this is happening regardless of the skin I use and optic. I have up to date sound drivers through ICUE (wireless Corsair headset). Anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix?

  • I managed to fix mine this morning. I contacted EA help chat last night and they recommended unplugging USB peripherals and testing it then. I then realized that the G7 audio ramped up my discord audio as well while I was using my wireless headset.   I "repaired" my Corsair ICUE software and the G7 audio stopped becoming distorted. If you're using any USB devices that include drivers, I'd reinstall or repair those programs to troubleshoot.  Best of luck

@PineappleD87 I unplugged my USB headset and found the bug resolved when going through my speakers, I updated my ICUE and plugged my headphones back in the bug continued. I'm using a pair of Corsair HS60 Haptic Headphones which do not include drivers so I can't update them. Do you have any other solutions or sources? The bug also effects the Kraber Sniper rifle equally as dramatically.
  • @Riot704it's good that you asked because I do have another solution. The audio bug returned roughly a week later after doing my fix but after seeing slight success troubleshooting the ICUE software I figured the true solution might reside in that audio software. I ultimately discovered that the problem came from my my equalizer presets. I made a custom preset for apex over a year ago and by slightly balancing the mids, lows, and highs the increased audio bug went away.

Give that a try and let me know if that works.

@PineappleD87 I made a new preset that does fix the issue that doesn't cost too much in audio discomfort. I had some heavy bass music playing while making the preset to make sure the sound is still somewhat suitable for game and music situations, and like most gamers to have both playing at the same time. I then tried with only music, and then with only game and they sound decent. I'll post a screenshot of the eq for ICUE below and if it doesn't sound great or doesn't work for others, feel free to alter the sound to fit your preference. I understand that all headphones are unique and will almost always sound different with evolving technology, so please don't hunt me down if it doesn't sound right on your end.

  • My preset is completely different than yours. I don't use bass boost though. I find this one works great when it comes to hearing footsteps but it makes music overly loud. But this might be the differences between the headsets.
