Me and my buddy join game chat and I can hear him but he can never hear me. It is a bug with the game because we have no issue talking to anyone else. LeftStickLarry has not been able to hear me for months in game chat.

What happens when the bug occurs? I (JOKERSoulHaHaHa) join the apex game chat with my buddy LeftStickLarry. I can hear his voice just fine but he can never hear me. We are both playing on PS4 and we can both hear and talk to anyone else in game chat. It is very frustrating when we play with a friend on XBox because we can’t hear each-other. We have to play while on speaker phone on our phones in order to talk to our XBox friend too. We usually play in PS party chat but can’t when playing with cross platform friends. We have tried everything and we believe it is some sort of bug.
What should be happening instead? LeftStickLarry should be able to hear me in game chat.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Please investigate the game chat between the two of us players.
