I downloaded Apex Legends a couple of days ago. The game is really cool but I can't finish any match as the game freezes and crashes.

I tried to change my video settings but it does the same issue with low graphics.

I also tried to update my GPU drivers. I found on the Internet that many people have been experiencing this issue. It's really painful since the game is awesome and I cannot play.

I hope Respawn Entertainment will find what causes this issue soon

If somebody knows how to fix, just tell me

  • I think it's a Windows problem... My game was doing same, suddenly freezes then close!

Now the game is OKAY to play!

Just reinstall my Windows 10 (Recovery to factory default) update it to most recent Windows version, installed just basic softwares and Nvidia Driver 417.35 (old one, but to AMD idk what version is better), than downloaded the game again e play!

I play yesterday for 5 or 6 hours without this crash! I'll keep testing today, but it seens OKAY now.

Idk if you tried it, but maybe reinstall your system can help!

    I hope it help you.

  • That's an issue with your CPU. All AMD FX 6XXX are having trouble.
Unfortunatelly the only way it was found to correct this error is to disable cores 5 and 6 on the BIOS.
I've done it to mine and has been fixed (please be aware that other random crashes may occur, not related to your CPU)
  • It's not only a CPU issue but a GPU issue too, many RX 400 and 500 series graphics cards crash to desktop with no error. I have spent over 6 hours trying to troubleshoot this, there is no fix. Only way it will get fixed is with a patch.

Yeah I think so, I have two GPUs:

    - AMD Radeon RX 480

    - AMD Radeon HD 7800

There is no crossfire as these two GPUs arent from the same genereation. When the game freeze I can listen the GPU fan slowing its rpm. It means the GPU has stopped all calculations.

  • Uh... The game really need an update...

  • Guys, if you catch any event on Windows Event Report, share it in THIS post, to help developers track the error.
