I’m new to the game and started to play it because of my friend and I did the training like normal. I went to go play the orientation matches, but no matter how many times I play it, it won’t let me play anything else. So now I can’t play with my friends and it’s honestly becoming an annoying problem. Please fix the fact that we have to play a lot of orientation matches in order to play the actual game.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one with this problem, what’s going on!?!

No, but I think I’ve found the issue. I don’t know if I'm right or not but I found a thread about a couple of guys having a similar issue a couple years ago. They said it was an extremely rare issue and only happens to a few apex players so respawn/EA don’t bother helping. Basically they figured out that it wasn’t actually the game or servers fault but instead it was a network issue. One of them asked to go on an unrestricted network plan (wouldn’t recommend) the other just switched providers and it started working. This got me thinking maybe it’s just because my internet is just slow but I ruled that out ages ago because I’m on Ethernet and never had issues running other games and I don’t get lag. Anyway I’ve just checked my network speed and found my latency to be 147ms… generally an acceptable number is anywhere between 40 -60 whilst anything over 100+ may cause in game issues. So my theory is that If I can reduce the latency my apex may be able to load and start working again. It’s just a theory but I’m going to see if I can reduce the latency somehow and see if my Apex will start working again.
Same here. we have extremely good internet… however, when I checked my networks settings i found that my latency is extremely high ( 157 ms) which is weird as I’ve never had any issues with other games and they always say my ping is like 17 or something. If I were u I would check your network speed and statistics on your Xbox console to see if you have high latency like me. A optimal latency should be okay with 40-60 anything lower is fantastic anything above 100+ and we should expect in game problems like what’s probably happening here.
I got the same bug, TODAY, crazy thing is this morning I was playing ranked fine, plat 4 in fact, I take a nap to wake up to this weird orientation match on trios with everything else locked n my account is lvl 427…..ea need to get on the ball
Same thing just happened to me and I am plat 3 and was playing fine this morning and now I cant play........
This has just happened to me. 5 minutes ago also ....I was mid games ...my controller died then and during the battrie swap I'm not stuck in the orientation match and won't let me do anything ...I've tried everything

Same I just got this issue today as well. I was able to play earlier too. Now all my playing modes are locked.
