    Has your friend checked their account privacy settings to make sure they have cross-play and invites enabled?

I just wanted to confirm, because two accounts connected to the same EA Account aren't able to send invites. I was curious if that is what might have been happening in this case. 

Is your son's account set up as a child account?

Yes it is. We were able to play and invite before. Then season 11 came out and it's gone.

    @kbrown0120 

    Can you try removing him from your friends list and re-adding him to test and see if that helps? I've seen a few cases where that can do the trick with similar issues.
