Incorrect Rank Rewards

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Main menu
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Waiting in the menu
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 0
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 07.05.24
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
How severe is your issue? Little to no impact to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? I finished split one of season 20 in diamond 4 but after split happened it demoted me back to gold 2 i reached platinum 4 then stopped playing.
What should be happening instead? I should have received the Diamond rank reward but it gave me the shiny platinum rewards when it should be a non shiny diamond reward

The rank reset and the rewards given are wrong for the new season and should be reflected based on the highest rank received due to patch notes and how previous seasons worked in the past.

    Hey everyone, thanks for the posts.

    Please note that for Season 20, your ranked rewards were based on your rank at the end of the season, not the highest rank throughout the season.

    - Since Season 19, rewards are granted based solely off your rank at the end of the Season rather than your highest Rank achieved during the season.

    This is changing back this season however, as mentioned in this season's patch notes.

    Upheaval Ranked Rewards

    • Your end-of-season rewards will now be determined by the highest Rank tier you achieved during the entire season

    I was gold 3 until the glitch happened with apex and it resented my ranked progress for season 20 and now season 21 I didn’t get the gold badge but the bronze badge

    Hey Community Managers! Thanks for sharing your response in a timely manner!

    I'd like to share the following document with the community.

    According to this document published by EA May 7 2024, it states the following:

    How do Ranked rewards work?

    At the start of the next Season, you’ll get the rewards for the highest rank you achieved over the course of the last Season. Your highest rank can be taken from either the first or second split.

    This Season, you’ll get an animated version of the Season-end reward badge if you match or surpass the rank you achieved in the first split.

    If you don’t get the same or a higher rank in the second split, you’ll get a normal version of your badge.

    Based on this language provided by EA, I believe a majority of players would assume that they would receive ranked rewards based off the highest achieved rank by the end of a split.

    I was not given masters rewards yet I reached masters in s20. The first screenshot show I was given diamond rewards ; yet the 2nd screenshot shows I was masters throughout s20. Yet the rewards don’t reflect that.

    Same!

    Ive reached diamond 4 in split 1 and platinum 2 in split 2, however I did receive rewards as a platinum.

    This make no sense...

    Why should I play split 1?

    EA you must fix that, specially because split 2 was quite shorter than split 1.

    Lmao why even make a split then!!?? Wasted hours of my life grinding split 1
