Incorrect rank/rewards

What happens when the bug occurs? I reached Diamond 4 in splot 1 of season 16. I then demoted to plat 1. Now that split 1 is over my rank in the stats page says plat 1.
What should be happening instead? It should say Diamond 4 because that is my peak rank during the split.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I attached screenshots of my max rp for season 16 and the stats page and itll show inconsistency.
