@EA_David i have played a rank game and does not change the rank.
Split 1 final rank achieved: Plat III
Split 2/current rank displayed in the lobby: Bronze III
Split 1 rank shown on stats page: Gold III
Split 2/current rank shown on stats page: Bronze III
As you can see by the attached photos. All the stats are the same but the rank badges are different.
