Issues with apex and using an audio interface as the audio device

    @BigBoiPeggers Hi! I found many people with scarlet audio interfaces have similar issues. this could be how scarlet interface drivers manage latency by setting the default buffer size too low. I've found multiple posts on other forums including discord official ones, that many scarlet users experience with mic crackling. Try to fix this by going to Focusrite settings, which is the driver for your interface, set input buffer size higher, until the pops and cracks in the discord audio test disappear.

Ok so...I tried doing all of this. It seems like when I changed the buffer size only to 16 it worked. Tho if I tabbed out of my game. My mic reset and went back to crackling. I did it again and it seemed to work. Tho like i said if I tab out then it resets

Ok so its been longer time now and it seems to be working for the most part?

    Was gonna say, I have noticed if I switch to full screen it resets something in game or with my audio interface which brings back the crackling. Tho the buffer size stayed the same I had to change it, then change it again back to 16, then switched it back to borderless window mode, and only then did it fix itself and the crackling goes away. I can live with borderless tho its annoying when there is screen tear and all of that. Im curious on why full screen messes with the mic.

    Well I managed to somehow breaking it. I guess tabbing out or even restarting the game breaks it all.

    I managed to fix it again. Not gonna touch anything. Tho there is still some slight hiccups here and there. Kind of annoying im just gonna stop messing with it.

    @BlockishBore Ah. no problem. this is more likely to be a discord problem.
    i tested with many other chatting software, only discord act like this.

    Well. Now that I think about it. I dont think its a discord thing. Cause audio comes out weird in recordings.

    @BlockishBore Didn't try recording on my pc yet but everything related to voice chat and audio playback works fine. My test was based on discord only, and what I did was only with discord on, perform the audio test in discord audio settings. And the result is heavy popping and crackling on feedback audio. I still think Focusrite have a major problem here due to any other audio interface have no such issue as far as I've tested with.

    Thats interesting. I'm still gonna wait for your video on the problem. Maybe I'm still missing something. Maybe the Apex update this Tuesday will fix something? If not might need to get a different interface.

    @BlockishBore Oh, I'm still doing experiments on discord stuff, to make sure that the video can solve the majority of the problem. but right now I haven't seen any issues after tweaking buffer size. I have one more suggestion that is to check whether your audio interface driver is up to date.

    Thats what im saying. Its very confusing. You said that its not an issue with other interfaces so i might just replace with the komplete audio 1? I think thats what it is called. Had a buddy that would buy my focusrite off of me for music stuff so it works out but its wack and annoying. Shouldnt need to do this. Lol

    @BlockishBore yea komplete audio 1 had no problem with compatibility afaik. mine works well ...until I burnt it by feeding 48v into my mixer...

    As long as you don't wire stuff as it will definitely burn then it won't xD
    I burnt mine cuz I didn't have proper cables atm and used XLR for LINE signal. but I forgot to turn off +48 on the card so...

    That seems very complicated to me. Im just gonna be plugging this thing into my computer and then plugging in my mic. Is this thing gonna burn on me? lol I know it probably wont.

    @BlockishBore No, it won't. I burnt it cuz I use an audio mixer and that thing also outputs +48V so they shorted at 100v xD
