I tried several games but still stuck at 9/10, and other ways?

What worked for me is what I said above but it only worked in normal BR, not in mixtape or three strikes.
And the best one that worked was looting a gold attachment for a gun I already had equipped, like a turbocharger for a havoc etc.
As I mentioned if I looted just any gold attachment it would count but only if I kept it in my inventory the entire game.
Also I’m not sure about this one but I wonder if you have to be the “first” player to loot it. Someone dropped me a gold helmet in one game and that didn’t count at all.

Yeah mine seemed a bit random too. Like one game I am sure it didn't count a gold item I picked up, but then another game it counted it but I died with it in my bag so I'm not sure if that's why.
What seemed most consistent for me was having a gun that can take a gold attachment equipped, then looting a gold attachment for it from the market.
Either way glad you got it done. I honestly thought this challenge was going to stop me getting the reactive skin and I've wanted it for so long as I didn't play Apex when the originals were around.
