I'm on a PS5, but I'm having the same problems. Started with this new season (sixteen). I'm on the east coast of Australia, usually log in to the Sydney servers during the day, ping is about 25-27mms, and then the Tokyo servers late at night, ping's about 135mms. It still displays these on the splash/entry screen, but when I log in now, the Sydney server jumps to over 300mms (typically it's been about 335mms), and the Tokyo servers oddly have been less, but still bad, around 250mms. Tested all my internet connections just to make sure it wasn't on my end, and it's fine. Apparently this is happening to a lot of console players, only PC players seem to be exempt.
Yea I've seen it happening on ps5 a lot for people to. I'm sure they will fix this because most of the player base is console.
