Same issue. The whole time it is choppy and will transition from one second of smooth to 5 seconds of low fps. Not my connection either because I'm hardwired

I've had this issue since season 16 and stopped playing because of it, checking back in for one game each day to see if it was fixed.
I started fiddling with settings and am back playing without FPS issue (3 games so far)
In Xbox settings > general tv options - I've changed:
4k resolution > 1440p
60Hz refresh rate > 120 Hz
One or both of those settings seems to have greatly improved if not completely resolved it to pre season 16 FPS. Not sure what similar settings are for PS.
Keen to know if this helps anyone else...

I wonder if maybe the new apex season doesn't support 60Hz refresh rate anymore. I'm going to try to test it with a 120Hz monitor tomorrow and see if that changes anything because my current monitor doesn't go up to 120. I mean if that is the case, they should definitely fix it back to 60. But this is just speculation for now
- 3 years ago@YouWithABigHead I use lg oled c1 which has lag input boost and 120hz either way its pointless playing ranked now
