Mastiff Shotgun firing on its own

Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. The area was somewhat open with trees and rocks. I was hiding behind a rock waiting for the enemy to come around.
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. I had switched to the Mastiff to be ready to attack when a squad mate went down.
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? No
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? About 7 or so.

How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? The Mastiff shotgun keeps shooting on its own without any input from me.
What should be happening instead? Mastiff should not be firiing and I should be able to reload without firing off a shot as soon as a shell is loaded in.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try using the Mastiff a lot I suppose. Not sure how it was triggered.
I unfortunately don't have any footage, but I was about to use the Mastiff shotgun that I got from an air drop when it started firing on its own and even if I switched to a different weapon and switched back it kept doing. I tried reloading, but as soon as 1 shot was loaded it would fire. No other weapons did this. I have encounterd this bug once so far.
