Alright,
First and formost GTX 1080TI OC's are very wierd with there stability.
Try adjusting your GPU clock to stock and then turn up the power, volts and temp limit.
Keep the vram OC as is if your happy with its stability.
The 10 series GPU's have a dynamic Clock and supplying enough power and volts should be enough to get a higher OC.
This is my experience with OCing my card.
Ive seen youtubers adjust there GPU clocks but im not too sure about the long term stability.
(i have had issues with where i would adjust my gpu clock and it would show signs of instability but i could get higher gpu clock by only adjusting the volts, power and temp limit.)
Most stable driver atm is 417.71

Yeah if the screen goes a different colour it looks like s form of instability imo.
