Nintendo Switch - Lobby matchmaking Problems on "Switch Only" Lobbies

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Lobby, whilst trying to find a match
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Trying to find a match in the lobby, crossplay was disabled and the the system was "matchmaking"

How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? Around 20-30

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? The lobby stays on "matchmaking" and does not eventually join a match. This only happens when crossplay is disabled and when trying to join a "switch only" lobby. whilst matchmaking the counter at the bottom left of the screen says "1 player in queue" and every few minutes will jump up a few numbers ("4 players in Queue", "15 players in Queue" etc.) but never finds a Lobby. I have left it to find a match for the longest time if 45 minutes and never found a match. I am unable to play apex legends on switch with cross play disabled.
What should be happening instead? Before the bug, the system would find a lobby straight away or in a couple minutes maximum
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By going on the Nintendo switch system, launching apex, disabling cross play and trying to join a lobby.
