Yup! This happened to me and my buds yesterday. I think it happens whenever you are on the dropship as its going over a big hill. One of us it didn't affect because he jumped off before it gave us the message. So he ran around reviving us on every single respawn beacon LOL
we got second place.
10/10 would "Return to the Battle!" again.
Just happened to me when I jumped off the top level of the loot ship onto a lower floor, I was the only one on the ship affected. If you jump off the ground the timer stops, and you can try to climb up a surface or take a zipline to refresh your timer while off the ground. Climbing up on a balloon did not seem to stop the timer though.
The same bug happened also to me two hours ago and I manage to find a way to ''solve'' it. After dropped the supply ship and encountered the bug I took a balloon and used it to move over a mountain (a place where you cannot stay and you are forced to leave), then I simply jumped down and the timer was gone. I think that using this method force the timer to restart (cause it should start counting only when you are over that places)

That's a good way to atleast get rid of it, still a very gamebreaking bug when it occurs tho.
Shouldn't have to do these things to "fix" it ;p But, acceptable as the game is in a very early stage/release.
