- Did you make any adjustments to your controller layout settings?
- Are you using a custom Xbox controller or standard one?
- Do you have the game installed on an external hard drive?
- Have you tried a power cycle yet?
- Have you tried reinstalling the game?
I'm not the post creator but im having the same issue.
i have linked the issue to weapon swap speed and the fact that someone programmed the fire button to also melee. it occurs after healing too. any time that you don't have a weapon out for even a millisecond, you will punch when pulling the trigger instead of shooting.
the simplest solution that i can think of would be to simply remove melee function from the trigger. since there is already a button dedicated to punching (the right stick), there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to have the right trigger also be melee.
another way to fix this issue would be to remove punching from the trigger temporarily while your character is swapping to a weapon, so the trigger pull can que up and make the weapon shoot as soon as it is able to.
