Can’t gift to friend in apex even though he is online and I have verification on

With the new season there are free gifts and me and my friend wanted to gift each other. We are friends on apex for more then a year and have never been banned. But everytime we click on the gift we don't see each other. I checked about a 100 times if we where friends on apex and we are! so im not sure what the problem is. I can see other friends that don't even play the game anymore so im not sure whats wrong. I really would love a solution because there are challenges bind to it. Does anyone else also have this problem if so they really should look into it. 

Login verification is on, yet iapex still tells me to turn it on to enable gifting as if i hadnt already. I even talked to ea customer support and they told me to post here. I need this fixed before the event ends 

Installed Apex Legends from Steam, connected with EA app.

trying to get "login verification" to unable gifting, went through all the steps in the guide(how to turn on login verification), turned it on, went back to game, still can't gift, gifting button is same as it was, closed. I repeated the guide 5 times, still doesn't work.

Help please  

I'm having the exact same issue on PC. I don't know if it takes a few days to activate? I just turned on account verification yesterday and today when I logged into Apex it still wasn't working....I have a bunch of friends on my account and I've been playing since season 1 so idk what's the issue. I followed all the steps for the gifting..

While trying to gift a skin it shows me in the gift section that i dont have any friends is it because i havent made friends in EA account for atleast 2 weeks or maybe because my account is not in good standing because of  3-4 hate speech which are over a year old?

I have my login verification on but I still can’t send gifts , I did it 3 times and I put the game off and on but it still won’t work 

I've found a fix to this problem. If you guys play on steam, then when you go to log into EA.com to turn on login verification, make sure you sign in with the steam option at the top. Where the option to sign in with Xbox, PSN, and others, Steam is right there. Turn on login verification and when you restart game, it'll ask you to login. Just login with your steam as usual and you should see in the background of the small window your apex lobby, just press ESC and you should be able to gift poeple 🙂 The reason it wasnt working in the first place for me was because I was turning on Login Verification for the wrong EA account, which might have been caused by the cross progression.

I have my login verification turned on but I am still unable to gift items to my friends in season 20. What do I do or is this an issue only EA can fix??

I have a problem, my friends can't see me,
they can't find me when I'm looking for friends to give as a gift and when I try to give as a gift, they let me send it to them and then I get a shipping error,
then I check and I take away a free gift as if I had given it as a gift but in reality I didn't. I could give away nothing

turned on verification tonight

cant show screenshots right now, but gifting is locked still, and verification is turned on.

noteworthy that my ea account is still linked to an old PlayStation account I had on my ps4. When I load up apex on that account it is level 1 now, but my ea account still says it’s linked to the old account. When I try to login with my new email and account info, it still takes me to the same ea account page that is linked to the old account. No matter which email/password I use, both bring me to the same ea account that’s linked to the old ps4. If I try to unlink, I risk losing all my progress on my new account.

Well time is ticking and we only have so many hours left (Approximately 80). Im pretty sure we would all love this to be fixed so us people having this issue can get the flatline skin before its too late... 

Any updates ea? 3 days until we're all locked out of the flatline skin

Can't gift since s20 started. 

I have tried to upload pictures and videos but everytime it just says it's too large so I can't. I have them in case it's needed but just need somewhere to upload.
