This has been happening to me since season 4 or 5 it’s gotten so bad it has made the game not fun. Sucks, because I love the game. Wouldn’t mind if I could just port my account to a PC and keep my progress but that’s not an option right now so I’m stuck hating playing on the PS4

  • None that I’ve noticed. I’d also like to point out that there seem to be quite a few other open threads describing this issue that don’t have solutions in them

  • @ApexRumors I feel this is due to a worn-out thumbstick, try one thing to confirm if it's true.
blow some air in stick housing and try it if it works fine even for a short time which means you have a problem with your controller.
or simply try another game but I expected that you don't play another FPS game otherwise you would have tested it already.
if the controller is the issue then try this, disassemble the controller and get to the stick, apply some WD-40 and move to all directions then apply a little bit of contact cleaner then let it dry completely then fix it back again.
just make sure to remove the battery first.
the easiest solution if you confirm that the controller is busted is to buy a new one

Im surprised! Thank you for your answer. Turns out my new controller (only 4 months old) and my old controller (many years old) both behaved the same so I figured it must not be a hardware issue. Tried a new out of the box controller today and that seemed to fix the issue. Thank you for the attention to my concerns!

  • @ApexRumors that is good to know that your problem is fixed, but you still can save your old controllers then you will have three of them.
just follow the steps I mentioned earlier and you will be fine, I do it all the time with mine even with my Astro C40 controller
