Re: Constantly booted from crossplay

Hi there, @KooKoo4Crack.

Are the disconnects only happening when you have crossplay enabled? What system are you playing on and do you use a wired or wireless connection? Thanks!

  • As of last night I experienced it on PS4 to PS4 play. I even hopped on the same server as a friend and the issue remained.

My connection is wireless, however my download and upload speeds are in 50mbps and 10mbps respectively. I don't have disconnection issues with anything else in my home including other online based games.

  • Provided my response. The issue is persistent. Honestly about ready to just uninstall the game

Apologies for the late response. I was out of the office the last few days.

Is it possible to use a wired connection or is your router too far away?

Most likely, that's the issue then. If you've had any new devices connected to your network recently, that may contribute to this. Wireless is always going to be an issue no matter the distance, but being that far from the router is surely to cause disconnects and lag. It might be good to try changing the wireless channel your console is on. That will possibly help. You might want to also look into getting a powerline adaptor. Those have been known to be a good solution when there's too much distance for a wire.

  • Sorry that was a typo or autocorrect. I meant isn't too far

My router is on the other side of the wall on the same level. The PlayStation is pushing good upload and download speeds.

There have not been any new devices connected. In fact, there are less devices connected and I am the only one using WiFi when I play.

Having your router in another room, behind a wall is going to cause disconnects and lag. Speed isn't the issue. It's more about stability and a wireless connection doesn't provide that. We can get some better details on your connection by running a UO Trace. For this, you would need a PC with a wireless connection that is near your console. If you have one, follow these instructions and get me a screenshot of the results.
