I tried to power cycle the PS5 and launched the safe mode and chose the option Update system. Unfortunately the game game still feels the same, very sluggish. The weird thing is that in the dropship the sensitivity feels normal, but once landed on the ground the sensitivity is very slow/viscous and I cannot fix it by adjusting the sensitivity settings in the game. Another remarkable thing is that another shooter game like Warzone is running fine, but Battlefield I and V are giving me the same problems as Apex albeit to a lesser extent.
I have no idea anymore what I can do to fix it, I feel like I tried everything... Are there any other things I can do to try and fix this?

Recent update for Season 9 has introduced micro stuttering which needs fixing - that's the problem.

I hope this is the issue and it will be fixed with an update soon, because after two years of playing Apex with much pleasure I stopped playing. I just can't compete anymore, it is almost impossible to win a one on one fight against any good player now. I was even starting to doubt about my PS5, maybe it has some performance issues, but if games like Warzone and Rocket League are running smooth I don't think my PS5 is the problem here..,

It's not the PS5. I got Series S and I had the PS5. Season 8 gameplay was fine, none of that micro stuttering. Started with Season 9 update. Other games I play such as Rainbox Six, Destiny 2, Fortnite etc they don't have this micro stuttering.
Well, @shaydoken I just tried a game of Apex, and it seems to be worse than ever, this game has become impossible for me to play. Back to Warzone and other games than, which are running very smooth!

For me Season 9 is a mess. I'm going to start playing Warzone or Rogue Company. I can't support a company that doesn't care about ongoing problems especially servers and matchmaking.
Respawn/EA are way too busy with cosmetics.
