Can confirm I get the same on PC. It depends on how far you are aiming. Each grenade type is different, for thermite your target is completely blocked at medium range, frags you can see the reticule but not much else at medium, and is blocked at close range, arc star is ok, but still a lot of your screen is blocked.

Seems like the location of the arm shield changes for each, even though the arm itself stays the same. Simple fix is to change the mounting position of the shield for all grenades to be the arc star position.
